MAINE - FALL BEAR

Hunts

- Months of September and October With Hounds or Bait & Stand

Bait Hunt:

All hunts are 5 days, Monday through Friday. All meals, lodging and guides included in our rates. You may hunt with rifle, shotgun, handgun, bow & arrow, muzzle loader.

We will put you on an ACTIVE bait back in secluded areas where bear travel. Average shooting distance is 15 to 20 yards. We have hounds available should you need them to track a wounded bear. We will help you skin and get your bear out of the woods.

Hound Hunts:

All hunts are 5 days, Monday through Friday with same accommodations and use of same weapons as bait hunts. Hunting with our excellent hounds is the best way to ensure almost 100% success. You DO NOT have to run after hounds. We have tracking collars to tell us the location of our hounds at all times. There are no more than 2 hunters per Guide with this method of hunting. Female bear cubs will not be taken.

Deer Hunts:

In October you could take a bear and deer with bow and arrow. November is firearms. All hunts include meals and lodging. The deer population is good. Bucks, 200 + lbs. with big racks are not uncommon. Our hunts are 5 days and include Guide Service.

Bobcat Hunts:

Moose Hunts:

Are by lottery. The hunt is about the Second week of October. Our success is 100%.

Coyotes:

No close season.

We work year 'round to ensure a successful hunt for you!! Maine offers the Best Big Game Hunting in the Northeast.

Additional Information

. We require $200.00 deposit on bear hunts at the time of
  booking. (Deer hunts $100.00 deposit). All deposits are
  non-refundable.
. Non-hunting guests will be charged $250.00 per week.
. Cost of your license is not included in cost of you hunt.
. No sunday hunting in Maine.
. Maine game laws prohibit alcoholic beverages in any form while 
  hunting.
. There are no hidden fees in the cost of your hunt.
. Cutting, meat wrapping and freezing of your dear is available.
. Linen and towels are furnished.

Things to bring on your bear hunt include, sleeping bag, soft gun case, camouflage clothing, headnet, gloves, duct tape, raingear, flashlight, light work boots, compass, sharp knife, old or new hunting license from your state.
