The South Valley County area is known for its trophy deer and elk.

HUNTING
We have a wide variety of guided hunting, including Elk, Muley and Whitetail Deer, Antelope, Sage Hens, Sharptail Grouse and Pheasants. Drop camp hunts are also available.

FISHING
The Burke Ranch borders the Fort Peck Reservoir. With a successful program for planting Cisco as a feeder fish for the Walleye, the fishing is improving more all the time.

LODGING & MEALS
Lodging and meals are included in the price of your hunt. We have a large, log lodge which can accommodate 8 - 1O people, with surrounding housing available to accommodate additional people.

PACKING
When your animal is down, we are qualified to pack it out with horses or pickup, whichever is needed.

HISTORY
The Burke Ranch was established over 80 years ago. It is a 4th generation cattle ranch. Living is some of the best hunting country, we have always been involved in helping people with their hunting needs, whether it was for information on prime hunting spots or packing out deer and elk. This kind of experience enables us to make your hunt with us a memorable one. We are a licensed Outfitter.

LOCATION
Located in Northeast Montana, the Burke Ranch is 60 miles south of Glasgow, on the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge. The ranch headquarters are on the edge of the Missouri Breaks. Our ranch borders the Fort Peck Reservoir for 15 miles. Living on the ranch and outfitting and guiding from this point enables us to get out hunters to the prime hunting early.

DROP CAMP HUNTS- Elk and Mule Deer

We set up drop camps in an area where we feel you will have the best chance for success, where our guides have already spotted game. We will familiarize you with the area as we pack you in and you will then hunt on your own on foot. You will be responsible for cleaning and quartering your own animal for pack out from your campsite. One of our guides will check in with your party periodically and pack out any game.

BEAVER CREEK OUTFITTERS
will provide you with an experience to remember fok a lifetime. We have hunted the same area for over 15 years now and our guides are experienced professionals who have a thorough knowledge of the country and the game we are hunting. This is a true wilderness experience as there are no motorized vehicles allowed in any of the areas where we hunt. We work very hard for our hunting client - we don't quit until you do. We do not overbook our hunts so that our guides may take a personal interest in each hunter. Our guides are also first-aid and CPR certified for your safety.

We will be hunting for elk and deer in terrain consisting of grassy slopes, aspenfilled valleys and some rugged black timber which stretches as far as your eyes can see in the Routt National Forest. Packing you in on horseback to our camps will be a memorable trip through magnificent wilderness territory.

Our fully guided hunts originate in prime elk country near Craig, Colorado. The day before the hunt we will meet you in Craig for introductions and to purchase your licenses. We will then take you on a 1- hour drive through scenic country to the foot of the mountain, where your vehicles will be left in a safe area. We will then transfer to 4-wheel drive vehicles to travel 9 miles up the mountain to base camp. From base camp, we will pack in on horseback with spectacular views of mountain peaks and golden aspen to the tent camps where you will be staying.

We Provide:1 guide per 2 hunters (1-on- 1 can be arranged for extra charge)
1 horse per hunter
3 hot meals prepared daily by camp cook
Cots & tents (heat provided by woodburning stoves)
Showers available.
Pack out of your elk or deer.

If you are a hunter who prefers to hunt on your own, we will pack you and your camp gear in on horseback to a site of either your choice or ours. You will furnish everything you need to set up a camp for a successful hunt, including tents, cots, sleeping bags, cooking gear, groceries, etc. After we pack you in and drop you off, you will hunt entirely on your own and we will pick you up when your hunt is complete at the time,you request. There is an 80 pound weight limit per person on gear. You will be responsible for cleaning and quartering your own game for pack out from your campsite.

HOW TO REACH OUR CAMPS
If you fly to Colorado, plan to arrive in Denver or Steamboat Springs and rent a vehicle for the drive to Craig, located 200 miles northwest of Denver and 40 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs. Whether you drive or fly, you must be ready to leave from Craig at 8:00 a.m. the day before your hunt begins. Our meeting place will be the Village Inn Restaurant located on Highway 40 in the center of town. From there, we will begin the drive to the base camp. Dates will be confirmed in your contract.
