Beautiful Little Abitibi Lake Lodge offers a combination of excellent fishing and hunting, genuine friendly hospitality, and outstanding meals, and has earned our camp a reputation as "The Happiest Camp in the North".
Being a boat and fly-in lodge, we offer both Housekeeping and American Plans. You'll be here to enjoy yourself and we take a personal interest in seeing that you do. Incidentally the lodge is fully modern with all facilities in both lodge and cabins. Our complete plan provides boats, motors, full electric service, toilets, linens and room service. You will also enjoy 2 hearty meals each day prepared by our innovative chef. In addition, lunch will be your choice; shore lunch prepared by your native guide or lunch from the lodge.
For all travel in this beautiful virgin spruce land, your camera is a must, and your wildlife subjects, particularly moose, will be plentiful. This is truly a trip of which you have dreamed. You can enjoy the wonders of the wilderness in daily boat trips or hikes from the convenience of our lodge or from the even more remote camping facilities at our outpost camps.
There is a beautiful sand beach stretching right across the front of our lodge and camp area.

LITTLE ABITIBI LAKE LODGE

When we chose Little Abitibi Lake as the location for our lodge, it was picked because we had explored it and adjacent lakes before, and we knew that there were more walleyes and northerns here than our camp would ever be able to fish. It's inaccessible, except by air and boat and we're the only camp on the lake. And too, fishing is just as good around the camp as it is several miles away. If you're a "northern" or a "walleye" fisherman, then Little Abitibi Lake Lodge will be the end of your search for excellent fishing.

OUTPOST CABINS

Fly to the James Bay Frontier for excellent northern and walleye fishing - and moose hunting.
Fly into remote lakes in the most isolated parts of the James Bay Frontier. Numerous lakes and rivers are abundant with walleye, northern pike, whitefish and perch. Relax from your daily routine for seven adventurous days in comfortable and fully equipped outpost cabins and camps, on isolated lakes unreachable except by float plane.

BLACK BEAR

Due to its remote area, the James Bay Frontier still produces one of the best black bear and wolf habitats yet to be found. Let experienced outfitters, guides and staff provide you with friendly hospitality and the unforgettable opportunity to fulfil your dreams of black bear hunting. The hunting area covers approx. 225 sq. miles. Accommodations, meals and transportation throughout the hunt will be provided. Hunters will be assigned numerous baited tree stands which offer your best chances for success. We book a limited number of hunters per season, which has produced high hunter success in previous years and we expect even greater success in the coming seasons.

HUNT MOOSE IN THE FRONTIER WILDERNESS

While flying to or from camp during the summer months you will see moose from the air on the shores of grassy lakes and swamps in ones, twos and threes, where they come out to feed. There are many moose in this area and so, as you will find, only your own prowess as a hunter will be needed to assure you of your trophy. Our guides too, are expert moose callers and during the fall hunt they use the birch bark megaphone with seductive sincerity, bringing your game to the water's edge for the kill. From this point on, transportation by air is no problem. No heavy lugging on our hunts.

The James Bay watershed offers almost endless fascinating trips by water. Many large and small rivers cross the miles of lowlands surrounding James Bay. Wonderful fishing, hunting and scenery await the adventurous who follow the routes of the early fur traders. Just say you want to go. Leave the arrangements to us.

WE'RE LICENSED OUTFITTERS

Aside from staying at our camps, James Bay Outfitters is prepared to outfit hunting, canoe trips and etc.... We will rent you complete camping equipment or any part that you may require. We can supply foam mattresses, tents, cooking utensils, Coleman stove, lanterns, canoes, boats, motors, axes, etc.... We also have air service to take you in and out of otherwise inaccessible lakes. - This brochure, price list and reservations form is designed to indicate some of the services and programs we offer as well as answer those questions most often asked by our guests. We don't intend this to take the place of personal correspondence (nothing can do that!), but rather provide you with some answers and some preparation for your trip.
